The Tiny Gallery

After graduating last year from Teeside University with a BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design my dream was to have my own gallery.  I am passionate about giving back something to the community. So, when the idea of The Tiny Gallery was born I had no hesitation in approaching Newton Aycliffe Library and asking them if they would like to host our first exhibition.I love our Library; it’s a warm friendly inviting space and is always busy.  Where better than to place a Tiny Gallery.  With a great footfall it seemed a natural choice and complimented the purpose of the Library brilliantly!  The Tiny Gallery’s aim is to promote Artists in the North East to a wider audience and the Library provides a diverse range of people with a broad range of cultural interests.  The Tiny Gallery’s ethos is to reach out and inspire others to explore the arts in a more accessible on your doorstep approach whilst giving Artists and Designer Makers an innovative and flexible art space in which to exhibit their products.  Most villages and all towns have a library they do not all have Art Galleries but The Tiny Gallery can bring one into the community through the Library and enrich the Library experience.
