Hi everyone, my name is Lisa Burscheidt. I’m Assistant Librarian at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. I got my MA in Library and Information Science from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2011 while working as a Library Assistant at the University of Essex—this is my first professional post after qualifying.
I’m a member of CILIP and the London Health Libraries Clinical Librarians and Information Skills Trainers group, CLIST.
I’ve recently joined the team of bloggers for The Mental Elf, a blog that appraises recent evidence in mental health. I think it’s really important to make this kind of information not just accessible but also understandable to the general public.
Outside of work, I enjoy running (preferably while listening to science-y podcasts like Stuff You Should Know) and reading comics/graphic novels and genre literature.
I’m looking forward to tweeting about my job and giving people an idea of the variety of what we do on a day-to-day basis and how we support healthcare professionals in their work.
Please note that, while I work for the Trust, the views and opinions expressed in my tweets are my own, not my employer’s.
